HOPE FOUNDATION FOR THE VULNERABLE ZAMBIA

Our vision is to transform communities on how they view people with disabilities , that One Life at a Time, by developing holistic sustainable solutions to combat discrimination, injustice, poverty and reinstate the value of life among the Vulnerable. Our goal is to promote equal access to the rights and services that protect life and human dignity of people with disabilities.

Our Core Activities

We believe in addressing the issues of poverty and injustice, and partner with organisations that bring change to entire communities, like government departments.

Disability Rights advocacy - are our Centred Development activities: Providing support to vulnerable disabled people through the sensitization, education support, shelter support.

Our Beliefs as hope foundation for the vulnerable HFV , as the name hope foundation for the vulnerable is a Statement of Faith which summarises the Biblical foundation of what we believe in without compromising this clear Biblical foundation, we have articulated additional beliefs that are specific to the development work that our organisation, staff and are involved in.

We believe in the sanctity of life and the inherent dignity of every human regardless of race, gender, social status, or any other human condition. Stop discrimination!!!!

We believe that the church has a crucial role to play in reconciling the social divides which lead to human rights violations and discrimination and in doing so, defend the rights of the marginalized members of a given community.

We believe that the root cause of poverty is injustice and social exclusion especially for people with disabilities . In order to break poverty, unequal power relationships and systemic obstacles to opportunity need to be identified and challenged so that all people can access opportunity and improve their own lives regardless of their situation.

HFV believes that those with disabilities and in poverty are rights holders and not objects of charity. They have legitimate claims to rights and to lead a dignified life.

We believe that the measure of our effectiveness can be found in the individuals, families and communities who have been empowered to make choices and act on their choices, and the progressive reconciliation of oppressive power relationships to help the vulnerable.

Hope foundation for the vulnerable HFV works with churches and Christian organisations, CSOs in raising a powerful voice for justice and a nation free from poverty and discrimination among the disabled people, widows, Orphans, youth and women.
